NapMap does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All information you enter stays on your device only and is never sent to any server.

2. What Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data. NapMap is a fully offline, local-only application. Specifically:

We do not collect names, email addresses, or any account information.
We do not collect location data.
We do not use analytics, crash-reporting SDKs, or tracking libraries.
We do not use advertising networks or third-party SDKs that collect data.
We do not transmit any data to any server — there is no backend.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

NapMap stores the following data locally on your device using the device's standard local storage mechanism. This data never leaves your device.

This data is automatically cleared each new day. You can clear it at any time by using the Reset option in Settings, or by clearing the app's storage/cache in your device settings.

4. Device Permissions

NapMap may request the following device permission:

Notification permission is optional. The app functions fully without it. You can revoke permission at any time in your device settings.

5. Children's Privacy

NapMap is designed to help parents and caregivers track nap schedules for infants. The app itself does not collect any personal data from children or from users of any age. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent regulations. No information about children is collected, stored off-device, or shared.

6. Third-Party Services

NapMap does not integrate any third-party services that collect user data, including but not limited to:

Analytics platforms (e.g., Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel)
Advertising networks
Crash reporting services (e.g., Sentry, Crashlytics)
Social login providers

The only platform-level services involved are the Google Play Store (Android) and Apple App Store (iOS), which may collect aggregated, anonymized install and crash statistics as part of their standard platform operations. This data is governed by their respective privacy policies and is not controlled by us.

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer any data about you to third parties, because we never receive any data from you in the first place. All app data remains on your device under your full control.

8. Data Security

Because no data is transmitted to or stored on external servers, the attack surface is limited to your own device. We recommend keeping your device operating system and the app updated to benefit from the latest security patches.

9. Your Rights (GDPR / EU Residents)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Given that we hold no personal data about you, most of these rights are satisfied by design:

Right of access — All data is stored locally on your device and visible within the app.
Right to rectification — You can edit schedule settings directly in the app.
Right to erasure — Use Reset in Settings, or clear app data from your device settings.
Right to data portability — Not applicable; no data is held by us.
Right to object / restrict processing — Not applicable; no processing occurs on our end.

10. Data Retention

All locally stored data is automatically cleared each new calendar day as part of the app's normal operation. You can also clear it manually at any time via Settings → Reset, or by clearing app data in your device settings. We do not retain any data on our end.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If material changes are made, we will update the policy URL in the app store listing. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
